About the project
01. The Context
The Challenge The MICE industry often suffers from corporate fatigue. M&I required a high-velocity visual "hook" to redefine the brand for new audiences and global acquisition campaigns. The objective was to take the core tagline, "M&I Means Business," and transform it from a static statement into a visceral, rhythmic experience that could command attention in high-noise digital environments.
02. The Execution
Rhythm & Kinetic Governance To ensure the video felt "breathless" and intentional, I oversaw the project from initial scripting through to final asset delivery.
Scripting & Pacing: I collaborated with the marketing team to develop a high-cadence script. We structured the narrative to pivot sharply from industry "pain points" to M&I’s "solutions," using rapid-fire delivery to maintain momentum.
Pre-Visualisation: I storyboarded the entire concept in Illustrator, mapping out the typographic hierarchy against the beat of the soundtrack. By mapping the layouts to the audio cues, I ensured the brand’s visual scale and bold type felt intentional and commanding throughout the entire 60-second journey.
Hybrid Asset Sourcing: To maintain a world-class aesthetic, I curated a mix of flagship event footage and premium stock video. This hybrid approach allowed us to bridge narrative gaps and ensure every shot felt intentional and aligned with our global brand standards.
03. The Result
The Outcome By prioritising rhythm and kinetic energy over standard corporate messaging, this anthem became the definitive visual hook for M&I’s global acquisition strategy. It successfully unified our sub-brands under a single, high-impact narrative, proving that the M&I brand system could maintain its authority even in high-speed, motion-led formats.
